Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, expert in pharmacokinetics. A native of Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Graduated from the School of Pharmacy, China Pharmaceutical University in 1977. Received a Ph.D. degree from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 1995. Former Vice President of China Pharmaceutical University. He is currently the chairman of the Academic Committee of China Pharmaceutical University, the vice chairman of Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology, the director of the Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Pharmacokinetics, and the director of the Key Laboratory of Chinese Medicine Compound Pharmacokinetics of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He concurrently serves as the chairman of the Applied Pharmacology Professional Committee of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, the chairman of the Pharmaceutical Industry Professional Committee of the Chinese Pharmacological Society, and the chairman of the Jiangsu Pharmacological Society. Representative of the 11th and 12th National People's Congress.
As the national leader of the "863" major project "Preclinical Pharmacokinetic Key Technology and Platform Research", established an internationally advanced preclinical pharmacokinetic technology platform system in my country, which has become an important support for China's innovative drug research and development. Promoted the development and industrialization of innovative drugs in my country; created a new theory and model of "target cell pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamics combined research", which provided new ideas for the evaluation and research of target intracellular drugs and nano-preparations Methods: Developed the theoretical methods of multi-component pharmacokinetic research of traditional Chinese medicine, solved many key technical problems, and promoted the modernization of new Chinese medicine research and development and the internationalization of Chinese medicine.
Published 342 SCI papers as the first and corresponding author, and SCI cited 5,423 times. Won 3 second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 4 first prizes of the Ministry and Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award; won the 2012 He Liang He Li Fund Science and Technology Progress Award. He is the leader of the doctoral degree in pharmacokinetics authorized by the Ministry of Education (the only one in the country).
