One of the founders of pharmacokinetics in China, academician, researcher, and doctoral supervisor of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Honorary Dean, Chief Scientist for Life, and Director of Academic Committee of Tianjin Institute of Pharmaceutical Research, Director of State Key Laboratory of Drug Release Technology and Pharmacokinetics, and Consultant of Chinese Pharmacopoeia Committee, Standing Director of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, China Office of International Society for Drug Metabolism Director of the Division, Chairman of Tianjin Pharmaceutical Association and Chairman of Tianjin Society of Science Research.
Engaged in the research of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and modern Chinese medicine for more than 50 years, undertaking more than 50 major national research projects including the national "973" project, the international cooperation project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the national major special project, the key project of the National Natural Science Foundation, etc. He has published more than 450 papers and more than 30 academic monographs in Chinese and English at home and abroad. He has won the special allowance of the State Council, the Hong Kong Zijinhua Medical Achievement Award, the National Model Worker, the National Outstanding Scientific and Technological Worker, the Special Contribution of the International Drug Metabolism Research Association, the Outstanding Contribution Award of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association and the Lifetime Achievement Award of Traditional Chinese Medicine Analysis and Standards of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine.
