He has long been engaged in the quality control, quality standard research and management of traditional Chinese medicines. He has served as the deputy director and director of the Standards Division I of the National Pharmacopoeia Commission, a member of the Party Committee of the National Pharmacopoeia Commission, the director of the Standards Division of Chinese Medicines, and the director of the Comprehensive Business Division. In the past 10 years, he has presided over the completion of "Research on Standards and Regulations System of Traditional Chinese Medicine—Quality Standard Research in Accordance with the Characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicines", "Research Platform for Traditional Chinese Medicine Standards—Research on the Research Platform of Traditional Chinese Medicine Quality Standards and Information System Construction", "Chinese and English Pharmacopoeia Herbal Medicine" "Cooperative Research" and many other major national science and technology projects. Participated in the scientific research and compilation of the sixth edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia. Among them, the independently completed research on the standard quality control methods for the production of Sichuan aconite and the production of grass aconite was included in the 1985 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia and is still in use today. More than one hundred research papers were cited and included in "Analysis of Poisons" and other police officers' textbooks.

He presided over the design of the 2005, 2010, and 2015 editions of the "Chinese Pharmacopoeia", drafted and formulated the "Chinese Pharmacopoeia" related technical standard work specifications, technical requirements, compilation rules, guidelines and other technical standards drafts, and led the proposal of "establishing The quality standard system based on the characteristics of medicine and the concept of establishing a quality control model for traditional Chinese medicine that can effectively reflect the characteristics of the safety, effectiveness, uniformity and stability of traditional Chinese medicine as a whole. Actively promote the international mutual recognition of the quality standards of Chinese medicines in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, promote the expansion of the international influence of the quality standards of Chinese medicines in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, and guide the internationalization of Chinese medicine standards.
